Dialogue Activists are Active Citizens who have committed to using the tools, training and support offered to educate and empower themselves to be more effective and skillful conflict mediators.
After a psychometric analysis, Dialogue Facilitators and will be given access to formal and informal training. Informal training consists of interactive, web based, evaluative, roleplay, animation and video training programmes. Our formal training programme consist of two consecutive courses.
The first course covers a standard conflict resolution and mediation curriculum over 8 modules. After completing the standard training, Dialogue Activists may choose to participate in 12 additional course modules to build their capacity for social conflict mediation and dialogue. These Dialogue Activists also will have access to materials and information relevant to specific campaigns as well as the broader societal concerns which we are all working to address.
From this launchpad, our Dialogue Facilitators will be able to connect them to, or pull them into, relevant conversations where their dialogue skills and personal experience could have a positive outcome. We are able to noninvasively evaluate interactions and provide support where needed.
Dialogue Activists are volunteers who already care deeply about the issues we are confronting and give of their time and energy in an effort to effect sustainable change.
